The Fallon brothers don’t surprise me anymore. They’ve just announced an absolute stormer of a deal with the giant that is eBay, to power eBay.ie’s property search section. Not only is this a coup for Daft.ie which will firmly leave the likes of MyHome.ie trailing even further behind, it is a great symbol of just how well known a brand Daft.ie is in Ireland, and the power they have in the property market.
For eBay to say ‘Oh feck this, why even bother trying to write build our own property section, let’s use Daft.ie’ is a massive deal, and goes to show that home grown, Irish online brands can even manage to keep world beaters like eBay at bay (please pardon the pun).
Well done to the Fallons and everyone at Daft.ie for yet another job well done.

Fair play to the lads , its that ability to re-invent what your company does that will see them and any other company like them survive through the recession.
Aidan,
I think they’ve a perfect balance between rental and sales on their site. Whether bust or boom, people will always need somewhere to live, and if Daft aren’t making money from the estate agents or letting agents, they’ll be making cash from the advertising. I can’t get over their traffic!
