Santa is being very nice to Compare.ie so far this year. The site soft launched about two and a bit months ago, we’re up to about 20k unique visitors per month, and it’s growing increasingly quickly. Just checking the stats (i’m a statsaholic!), so far this month the site is up 340% from last month. Happily, i’m seeing lots of returning visitors, and about 1,500 people have opted to receive our ‘Money saving deals’ newsletter.
A consumer forum will be launching within the next couple of weeks, as well as proper broadband / tv / credit cards / mortgages / insurance channels. It seems to me the recession is a great time to start a business, especially when you’re in the business of saving people money!

Fantastic to see a forum being added, I think it will definitely add a lot more value to the site.
Yeah it will - there’ll be space there for users to share various discounts and offers, from stores both online and offline. Stuff like that - it’s all about saving money.
Great results Hugh. Is all of that traffic organic? Nice stats for a site only 2 months old. Is this as a result of link building or just google simply liking your site?
Adrian
Hey Adrian,
Yup, it’s all organic for now which is excellent, considering Google can be very picky about landing pages, be them for seo or ppc purposes.
New products are added about three times a week too - Google loves new, fresh content - so this might be helping too.
