Moviestar.ie now fulfilled by Screenclick.com

Maybe if they listened to feedback and actually acted on it i’d be in a better position to continue using their service.

Moviestars website seems to be down for mainenance. Are they still in operation ?

Strange if they are gone, as they were recently featured in Irelands top 30 young rich list which was shown on RTE.

Well as of today it’s all been migrated to Screenclick.com.

In relation to the top 30 young rich list - I didn’t see it, but they made their money before Moviestar running premium rate phone promotions and scratch card stuff in the UK. They had some bad press in the UK as a result of some complaints, but we I won’t hold that against them.

Ironically, the guys from Screenclick spent a lot of time highlighting the complaints in the UK… how things change eh? ;-)

No mention of any business prior to Moviestart on that program. Here’s a link to it on youtube :)

Interesting! Good looking programme from a P.R. point of view though.

I’ll have to ask the Screenclick boys if any of them have a Lambo in the garage.

Maybe i’ll get RTE to pop round to my gaff some day and mull over my exclusive, Lambo beating set of jammers - a ‘99 Beemer, and a knackered old ‘91 Mini I call Benny!

Gavin and Ian McConnon are mentioned in the second half of this article:

I’d love to know what the story is behind the Moviestar.ie Screenclick.com merger (or whatever it is). These boys were not exactly publicity shy when they started Moviestar you’d think there would be some PR.

Yup, i’ve not heard anything other than the emails i’ve received from Screenclick / Moviestar, and brief MSNs from Patrick from Screenclick.

Very interesting. Obviously the Australian authorities never visit boards.ie :)

That being said, I’m not a begrudger so more look to them.

Would be very interested to know what’s going on with Moviestar… I have read (and heard) tonnes of bad stuff about the guys behind that business. To see them on the RTE feature appeared to gloss over all of that. Generally speaking, there isn’t smoke without fire.
